Prestige Flooring & Hardwood Ltd is a fast growing, locally-owned flooring retail store in Saskatoon. We have a large showroom and warehouse on Jasper Avenue—close to the Exhibition Grounds. We carry reasonably priced, high quality products, in a fun, relaxed retail environment and we pride ourselves on our high-level of customer service.
What You’ll Be Doing
As you can see by the job title, you’ll primarily be helping out with our warehouse related tasks. Some of these tasks are restocking of product, preparing orders, and assisting in deliveries and installations. You will be asked to help out around the rest of the store and property to ensure that we have a clean, safe, and presentable environment for all visitors. You will be our go-to person for getting things done!
What You Need to Have
Our store is busy and it is getting busier all the time. Therefore, we need you to be able to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. There is a lot of work that we need help with, so being a hardworking and self-motivated individual, while still being a reliable team player is necessary. You’ll need to be a quick learner who works efficiently with an attention to detail. You’ll be required to follow direction and adapt to quickly changing tasks. Also, you’ll have to be able to work with little supervision and be willing to get down and dirty with the small stuff. Because you’ll be helping us to prepare orders; basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. A valid Saskatchewan Drivers license is required, as you will have to assist with product pickups and deliveries. Since you’ll be working in a warehouse, you’ll be frequently lifting and carrying boxes and objects of around 50 pounds, and you will be required to work with steel-toed shoes at all times. You will be interacting with our clientele, so a pleasant demeanor and presentable appearance is necessary. Though not necessary, a fork lift certificate, and retail or warehouse experience would be an asset.
