Prestige Flooring & Hardwood Ltd is a fast growing, locally owned flooring retail store in Saskatoon. We have a large showroom and warehouse on Jasper Ave, close to the Exhibition Grounds. We carry high quality products at a reasonable price, in a fun, relaxed retail environment, and we pride ourselves on our high level of customer service.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sales Consultant at Prestige Flooring & Hardwood Ltd, you’ll be selling a variety of flooring products to our customers. Tasks that go along with this position include greeting customers and assessing their needs, developing an in-depth knowledge of our entire line of products, measuring the floor areas of our clients, entering sales into our accounting system, co-ordinating installations, ordering products related to installation jobs, and maintaining the appearance of our showroom and outlet centre. You’ll be the face of our business!
What You Need to Have
Our store is busy, and it gets busier all the time, so we need you to be able to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. As mentioned, we pride ourselves on our high level of customer service, and, as such, you’ll need to be committed to excellent customer service. There’s lots of work that we need help with, so being a hardworking and self-motivated individual, while still being a reliable team player is necessary. Additionally, you’ll need to be a quick learner who can work efficiently with an attention to detail. You’ll also be required to follow direction and take on any new task that comes your way, so you’ll have to be willing to get down and dirty with the small stuff. Because you’ll be writing up orders and invoices, basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required; and you’ll also need to be comfortable with various computer programs. Since you’ll be measuring the floor areas of our clients, a valid license and your own vehicle are requirements. There’s all sorts of heavy items in our store, so you’ll need to be able to lift items of up to 50 pounds from time to time. You’ll be interacting with our clientele frequently, so a pleasant demeanour and presentable appearance is also necessary. Other people will be relying on you, so being organized and punctual is very important. Though not necessary, having previous sales experience is a plus and having previous flooring sales experience is a big plus.
What We Haven’t Told You Yet
This is a full-time position. We need you to work Mondays through Saturdays, with a day off in there. You’ll also be a part of our group benefit plan, which includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, as well as short and long-term disability benefits.
